Paula Diaz-Sylvester

I have always been intrigued by pattern and texture. I like to recreate designs I see in ancient pottery, basketry, modern architecture and textiles with the goal of making them part of something new. I received formal education in science and I take advantage of my knowledge in math and geometry to create my pieces. I love testing new ideas and finding ways to solve technical challenges. I am not a full-time potter, but I know that making beautiful objects with clay will be my lifelong passion.
