Clay: The Graphic Surface with Sam Chumley

Event Description

In this workshop students will learn to work with various underglazes to create decorated clay surfaces. Focus will be placed on color theory, mixing underglazes, and a variety of painting techniques to use underglazes for decoration. We will also be covering some very rudimentary mono printing and transfer processes. We will work on bone dry and leather hard clay to learn a variety of approaches to design depending on students' aesthetic choices.
