Micro-Sculpture: Wearable Art with Mindy Herrin-Lewis

Event Description

This class will focus on the construction of small-scale porcelain forms to be combined with metal for wearable art. Topics include micro-tool making, silicone molds, pressing clay forms, finishing treatments, and basic metal fabrication. Micro-sculpture uses specialized tools and flexible molds to reproduce forms in clay. This technique allows for control of the material and quick reproduction of objects. Combine clay with metal to enhance imagery, create fixtures, and fabricate pin backs.
