Mark Errol: Clay Pots and Color Spots - Playing with Layering

Event Description

In this workshop, students will create simple forms on the wheel or with hand building to generate surfaces to decorate. Through a plethora of low-tech but high-impact methods taught by Mark Errol, students will explore how the layering of techniques adds complexity and affords them time spent with each piece. This workshop will highlight the students’ interests and talents while gaining skills using slips and underglazes, all the while engaging in play and discovery. Students will leave this workshop with lots of easy ways to engage their pots and their audience with dynamic surface designs.
