Print Making on Clay - Silk Screening with Amaco Ceramic Inks

Event Description

During this two-day workshop learn how to print on hand-built and wheel thrown clay forms using the new AMACO Ceramic Inks. Presentations will cover a variety of printing techniques including linoleum and gelli plate prints. The hands-on projects will be silk-screening techniques ranging from simple screens made from vinyl and organza to more detailed ones using light sensitive emulsion sheets that work great with photographs. Printing will be done directly on clay the first day and indirectly using newsprint transfers and slip on the second day. At the end of the workshop, we will construct forms suitable for printed slabs.
