Sculpting Birds with Sarah Conti

Event Description

In this workshop we will be sculpting two different birds. We will start by sculpting a perched songbird (or other small bird). In this first piece we’ll be learning the methods of how I sculpt all my birds, but on a smaller scale. We will also surface these pieces with underglaze. Our second piece will be a larger bird in flight! In this we will explore the differences in wing shape, face details, pose, feet, neck length, and body type. I’ll discuss hanging devices and how I install my work.
