Tea Time in Magic Land

Event Description
In this workshop with Melissa Weiss, we will explore all the makings for a tea party: teacups, saucers, lidded sugar jars, and creamers. Using pinch, carve, and coil techniques to hand build our pots, students will pay special consideration to lids, handles, spouts, rims, and feet. Pots will be decorated with underglazes and oxides alongside wax resist and inlay techniques. We will be drawing on pots and telling a story.
