Underglaze Painting Techniques with Genna Howard

Event Description

In this single day workshop, Genna Howard will share various techniques of applying underglaze, including a unique method for integrating the foundations of water color painting and traditional tattooing. Students will be introduced to an array of techniques for applying underglaze to pre bisque fired mugs which will be provided. The techniques covered can be utilized across a broad range of painting styles,from bold punchy and colorful to soft watercolor and painterly images. The glaze firing of one 4”x6” mug is included in the workshop fee. The studio will provide bisqued mugs as part of the fee.
