Lakeside Pottery Retreat

Event Description

Pottery workshop retreat where participants will make holiday pieces by throwing and/or handbuilding. We will demo, discuss, make pieces for Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day, Independence Day, Halloween, and Christmas as well as other seasons. Participants will be able to keep their greenware to fire later (at home) when completely dry. All skill levels are welcome and we will be potting under a big pavilion on the shores of Lake Greenwood in South Carolina. October should be a good time of year for an event like this. The brutal summer heat should be gone yet it will be warm enough for us to work in the open-air setting. We will have some who stay at the camp in the conference center, some who camp on location, and some who commute in and participate.
