Wrestling with Atmospheric Firings

Event Description
Starting August 8th and over the course of the month the participants will be firing in three different atmospheric kilns. Wood, soda, and salt. We will be focusing on the sea and sand as our inspiration for the pieces that will be intended for the firings. This workshop will give you the rough and tumble scramble through some of the greatest atmospheres you can firing a pot within. Our main focus for the creation of pots will be the subtle detail that makes up our ocean designs and how you can embody those into a functional pot.
