NEW Potter's Choice Glazes For 2025
Meet the newest Potter’s Choice glazes! We’ve reimagined some favorites from the PC line with new colors and effects. Use them alone or layered to increase your color palette.
Serpentine Green is satiny light green like patinaed metal that becomes darker green and glossier with increasing coats or where it pools in texture. A lighter version of PC-22 Blue Stone, Serpentine is a beautiful glaze with character. We love this glaze for everything from functional ware to sculpture.
We especially love how Serpentine Green looks with the new PC-69 Cosmic Gold Dust, shown on this bamboo-textured plate.
Lapis Flow is a lovely fluid (runny) glaze that varies from sky blue to purple. It breaks green depending on your clay body. This glaze is a pale blue version of Seaweed, and like Seaweed it’s a great choice for dramatic layering.
My favorite use of Lapis Flow is layered over C-57 Mulberry Celadon for a mystical combo of deep purple and vivid blue. Fired to cone 6.
Tuscan Blue is a rich, satiny indigo glaze that pools dark blue and breaks green. A darker, more vibrant version of PC-22 Blue Stone, Tuscan Blue gives Mediterranean Sea vibes. Perfect for functional ware or sculpture, Tuscan Blue highlights textured surfaces.
Moon River is a glossy cream glaze with tan flecks floating where it pools thicker. A magical glaze that enhances texture, it’s beautiful as a base coat or layered over other glazes. Moon River takes on a blueish “milk glass” look when applied thinner.
This mug was glazed with Moon River over a band of PC-53 Ancient Jasper and fired to cone 6.
A sparkly glaze with a dark gold tone, Cosmic Gold Dust is a glossy yet stiff glaze that gives a magic shimmer to anything it touches. Use it as an accent, layered over another glaze for some glitter, or by itself for full drama. We especially love it with Serpentine Green where you see contrast of satin to glittery gloss.
Try them out, they’re all lovely!
