DIY Clay Nesting Bowls featuring TPL glazes

Supplies List
- White Art Clay No. 20 (slab)
- Texture Tools
- Bowl
- Corn Starch
- Fettling Knife
- Sponge
- AMACO Fan Brush
- AMACO Teacher's Palette Light Glazes
How to Create Nesting Bowls
- Roll out slabs
- Apply texture
- Cut around a bowl
- Dust the inside of the bowl with corn starch
- Press your slab into the bowl
- Once firm, remove from bowl
- Scallop the edges
- Allow to dry, then bisque fire to cone 04
- Clean with damp sponge
- Apply 3 coats of Teacher's Palette Light Glazes to the entire piece
- Stilt in the kiln
- Glaze fire to cone 05
To achieve the perfect nesting bowls, repeat steps 1-6 with bowl forms that nest together.
